For the first time since 2016, when Staples Center in Los Angeles played host to the World Championship Final, North America will welcome the international League of Legends scene.

The news was confirmed by Director of Operations Tom Martell and LCS interim 안전놀이터 Commissioner Chris Greeley.
At this time it’s still unknown which cities will host the 2022 World Championship, but it’s safe to assume Los Angeles will be one of them. LA has a great history with League of Legends, and the Staples Center remains an iconic venue for any sporting event.
Chicago, New York, and San Francisco were the other cities that played part in the 2016 World Championship.
Fans were worried that the recent relocation of this year’s Worlds tournament from China to Europe could have put next year’s tournament at risk. Martell was quick to reassure the fans and said he’s “excited to help deliver another amazing Worlds for the fans, hoping for a COVID free event planning cycle for Worlds in North America next year.”
Riot Games also confirmed the hosts for the 2022 Mid-Season Showdown and the 2023 LCS Championship.
NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas will host the 2022 Mid-Season Showdown on April 23-24. The MSS is the tournament where the LCS chooses North America’s representative at MSI.
Following the cancellation of this year’s live LCS finals due to COVID concerns, the original location Prudential Center is set to host the LCS Championship in 2023.
According to Greeley, talks with potential venues for the 2022 LCS Championships have already started and will be revealed once everything is ironed out.
