Serie A is one of two new leagues joining the FIFA 22 Player of the Month (POTM) catalog. Each month, a new star will be crowned, receiving an upgraded card in-game. Here’s the list of winners so far in 2022, and how you can get each card.
The Serie A has finally joined the FIFA POTM party, with a new rights deal between EA and the league adding the juiced-up cards into the game.
In FIFA 22, you’ll be able play as your favorite Serie A stars — when they’re nominated for the POTM award — and grab a great card in-game to show off. No longer do you have to wait for Team of the Season (TOTS), you can get them right now.
Here’s what you need to know about the FIFA 22 Serie A POTM cards, and how you can unlock them through SBCs.
January FIFA 22 Serie A POTM winner: Giacomo Raspadori
Sassuolo attacking midfielder Giacomo Raspadori has claimed the first FIFA 22 Serie A POTM award for 2022, taking home the accolade for January. The 21-year-old scored three goals in four games over the month, an impressive return from midfield.
His uptake in form has come at the right point of the season, as Sassuolo try and sneak into the top half of the table.
Raspadori’s 83-rated card is a +9 upgrade on his silver base card, marking the first special card he has received in FIFA 22. As you can imagine, it’s big upgrades across the board with 86 Pace, 86 Dribbling, and 85 Shooting, making him a fantastic CAM.
He does struggle in some departments — 81 Vision and 63 Long Passing aren’t amazing for a creative midfield player — but with a Chemistry Style like an Engine or Catalyst, these small issues could easily be ironed out. Five star weak foot is also a massive bonus.
